Job Description:

We currently are seeking an experienced candidate to fill the role of Project Accountant, a ground floor opportunity to provide Accounting expertise and leadership, in our rapidly growing Indianapolis, IN region. As a Project Accountant, you will work collaboratively with the Regional Vice President and the region's Operations Leaders to simultaneously support multiple projects and the region, providing both with a full range of high level accounting support.  This individual is responsible for and will be involved with some regional general ledger, job cost transactions, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable and accounts payable management. Additional responsibilities will be the review and understanding of cost and billing structure requirements for each new project in the region per contract specifications, overseeing the maintenance of accounting files, and analysis of various project and region specific financial information and reports. Other key job functions include but are not limited to:

§         Process and reconcile owner payment applications for monthly billings

§         Monthly job cost review to ensure accurate forecasting, budgeting, and revenue & income reporting.

§         Monthly regional analysis of cash flow, over & under billings, aged receivables & quarterly accruals.

§         General office administration

§         Regional compliance management

This position requires:

§         A bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Management, or related field

§         Three years applicable business experience required.

§         Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite

§         Excellent organization and communication skills

§         Must have considerable knowledge of accounting principles and accounting functions.

§         Job cost and construction experience will be key for this position but not required.

§         Ability to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervision.

§         Proven track record of working in a team environment.

§         Ability to accurately work under pressure in meeting deadlines.

§         Proven ability to manage others preferred.
